About the data

The data were collected by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor.

Wages are based on the median weekly earnings of full-time workers (those who work 35 or more hours per week), which accounts for any overtime pay, commissions or tips and is calculated prior to taxes and other deductions. For each occupation, wages reflect the most recent year for which data were collected. Occupations with limited sample sizes were filtered out.
